Conquer the rugged trail in Brooks' Cascadia 7 trail runner. Built for a snug, secure fit, asymmetrical laces minimize abrasion and achieve maximum comfort mile after mile. The aggressively treaded outsole can handle most any obstacle so you are free to get a move on come whatever the trail throws at you. Designed from the ground up, the Cascadia 7 defines what a trail shoe should be: rugged without sacrificing runnability.
Infused with Brooks technology and a bit of insight from ultrarunner Scott Jurek, this amazing piece of equipment features an asymmetric upper that anatomically wraps the foot with conforming materials, a ballistic rock shield and toe protector for dicey terrain, and four-point pivot posts that act like a suspension system for your feet. Top it off with an intuitive lug pattern and this trailblazer is ready to tackle even the toughest terrain.
Although I did not purchase these shoes on Amazon, I do LOVE them. The idea of spending $100+ on a pair of running shoes was a bit excessive to me but I'm glad I did. After only three runs in these shoes, i am IN LOVE! In this shoe i feel like I can run longer and when I am done my feet, knees, and back don't hurt a bit! I am very glad I spent the money on these shoes. They are awesome for trail running and treadmill running as i do both for training.
After trying the Brooks Cascadia model and Saucony Kinvera at Rei last year, it was a close call between the two (and I spent hours mulling over fit between these and others). I ended up with the Saucony's because they had the edge in color--last year's Brooks had a lot of neon yellow. The Kinveras even though super comfy, wore out super fast--in two months the delicate fabric was breaking up at the creases. So I got the Brooks Cascadia when I needed new shoes--they fit just like they did last year and, bonus--the color was beautiful this year! I've had them a couple of months and they're so comfortable I wear them every day--they're perfect for doing agility with my dog--I haven't put a whole lot of miles running in them, but they feel supportive and well-balanced when I do. . . . I usually run in Asics for regular road running shoes, but I may try Brooks road shoes next time or just get another pair of these.
